How to Make Powerpoint Presentations

Come Alive with Video

Continuing to build on my earlier presentation training we will now make PowerPoint slides that will include a video. I will also introduce here adding SmartArt.

Adding both SmartArt and a Movie are performend via the Insert Tab on the PowerPoint 2007 ribbon.

What I have covered to get to this point is included in my other PowerPoint pages and videos:

PowerPoint Page 1, Choosing Slide Design and Layout

PowerPoint Page 2, Adding an Image and Slide Animations

In this example I have inserted a video clip, an AVI file, which would begin to play when I click on the Video image on the slide, you do have the option to have the video begin automatically when you advance to the slide. You may size the window for the video according to your taste, having it "full screen" or as a window on the slide where text would still be visible.

SmartArt is a very versatile tool which allows you to add graphics to create a flow charts, organizational charts, or depict process execution. As you see from the graphic below the choices are categorized and provide many options.

In this video I will review how to make PowerPoint come alive with video.
