E-mail Recall

Outlook can recall an E-mail

Microsoft Outlook has the ability to do E-mail recall. This function is not available in Outlook Express. Whether you have forgotten to add an attachment or included an unintended recipient in the outgoing message, you do have the option to recall it.

You may only recall messages that a recipient has not read, and the recipients will receive a "message recalled" email. So it's not completely fool proof and the process is not hidden. But it may save you from getting repeated questions as to where the attachment is.

In Outlook go to the Sent Items Folder and open the e-mail you wish to recall. The screenshot below shows the Recall This Message option is located under the Other Actions option on the Ribbon.

The next choice to make will be either to delete unread copies or replace them with a new message. Selecting the replace option will open a new message window.
