Sorting e-mail in Microsoft Outlook is a handy tool to create destination folders for incoming mail. You can do this by establishing a main folder or creating a series of sub-folders off of the Inbox. Please view the video below, it makes it seem easier with video.
In Microsoft Outlook, left click on an e-mail to select it
then right click to bring up the menu
select Create Rule...
In the next window, review your When I get e-mail choices.
In this example, and in the video, I sort by FROM, when I get an e-mail from so-and-so.... .....Do the Following
Move the item to folder:
In the window you will see the name of an existing folder, select Select Folder..., from here you will be able to select an existing folder, or create a new folder for sorting purposes. You will then be given the option to execute the sorting at this time, and any existing e-mails that fit your criteria will be sorted accordingly.
